Imagining alternative life forms to those that exist, and those that have existed, is arduous.
The beasts portrayed in these illustrations, formally, have little that is original, but I hope their character emerges.

Among these illustrations, my favorite, though not the most successful overall, is the one that depicts a school of the little fish-ordinary in itself-that change in nature according to their location.
