Feathered thunder

The title comes from “The Babel Library”. In Borges’s story, one of the random combinations of letters is “combed thunder”, which for some unknown reason, it became “feathered thunder” to me.

The image was created by assembling multiple Photoshop renderings (Mental Ray). It follows a detail of one of the rendering that contributed to the final result.
