Let’s assume that the supernatural being, who a lot of people base their existence, on appears. I am not speaking about a personal revelation only for a few. This entity would be clearly known to everybody and we all will know with certainty that it is the supreme being. Hurray!
And this is what this supreme being would say: I haven’t been here for a while (1.3 billion years according to the author) and you still were not here. And your planet didn’t seem very promising, nevertheless here you are.
The supreme being would start more or less like this, and we will understand him because such entity would be understood by each one of us.
Unfortunately, you allowed someone to speak on my behalf. I will say it loud and clear: whoever decides to speak on my behalf is a liar. Whoever decided, decides or will decide to speak on my behalf didn’t have, doesn’t have and will never have my permission.
The supreme being would say more or less like this, and we will understand him because such entity would be understood by each one of us.
I will be back here very soon (in a century more or less according to the author). And if someone among you listens to whoever decides to speak on my behalf, I will immediately eliminate your species. There won’t be any catastrophe, the star that lights this planet will not fade away, simply, the human kind will never have existed.
The supreme being would conclude more or less like this, and we will understand him because such entity would be understood by each one of us and we will all know that the supreme being has told the Truth.
This short story is full of “gaps”; first of all the supreme being doesn’t need to come back after a century. When he looks upon us, he will know that no possible ultimatum can deny the possibility for human beings to be shepherds or sheep.
In fact, any supreme being is useful only if you can use him as you wish. If this is not possible… go to hell…
